We’re a small, independent business and every reservation is incredibly important to us! Organizing our retreats takes a lot of love, time and effort, along with non-refundable payments upfront. Please read our terms and conditions carefully before booking. By paying your deposit, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms. Thank you for your understanding and support!

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

To book a retreat, we require a non-refundable deposit of €500. Your spot is confirmed once this deposit is received. A team member from Experience LIFE Retreats will contact you within 48 hours to confirm your registration. Retreats are available only to guests 18 years of age or older.

• Deposit & Full Payment Schedule: Deposits are accepted up to 60 days before the retreat start date. After that, full payment is required to confirm your booking (subject to availability).

• Balance Payment: The remaining balance is due 60 days before the retreat starts, unless stated otherwise. You will be notified of your payment deadline once your deposit is processed.

• Missed Payments: If the final balance is not received by the due date, Experience LIFE Retreats reserves the right to cancel your booking and retain the deposit.

• Deposit Transfer: If your plans change, your payment can be transferred to another retreat within one calendar year, as long as you notify us at least 60 days before the retreat’s start date.

• Payment Methods: Payments can be made via PayPal, credit card or direct bank transfer.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATION

We understand that life is unpredictable and sometimes plans change.

Here’s our cancellation policy, which aims to be fair while taking into account the logistical and financial commitments involved in planning our retreats:

• Written Notice Required: All cancellations must be made in writing via email and are only valid once acknowledged by Experience LIFE Retreats.

• Cancellation with Credit Option: If you cancel more than 60 days before your retreat begins, you can apply your payment as a credit toward another retreat within one calendar year from your original booking date.

• Less Than 60 Days: All payments become non-refundable and non- exchangeable if cancellation occurs within 60 days of the retreat start date. This policy helps us maintain the quality and integrity of our retreats. However, if you are unable to attend, you may transfer your retreat spot to another person. Please notify us in writing as soon as possible and ensure that the replacement participant meets all retreat requirements. The new participant will need to complete the registration process and agree to these Terms and Conditions before the transfer is confirmed. Please note that any financial arrangements or reimbursements related to this transfer are solely between you and the new participant.

BALANCE TRANSFER

Full or partial payments can be transferred to another retreat within one year if you notify us at least 60 days before the original retreat date. Each booking deposit may only be transferred once.

EXCEPTIONS

We’re sorry, but no exceptions can be made to these terms due to the non-recoverable payments required to organize our retreats.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Illness, injury, or personal emergencies

• Travel disruptions (flights, weather, strikes, etc.)

• Late arrival or early departure - In such cases, no refunds or credits will be issued for missed portions of the retreat.

PRICING

All retreat prices are per person and stated in EUR. Prices may change and will be confirmed prior to booking. Unless otherwise stated, prices include all components listed in your

booking confirmation.

Prices do not include flights, transport, travel insurance, excess baggage charges, optional activities, meals and drinks not explicitly listed, or personal purchases during the retreat.

Experience LIFE Retreats is not responsible for any bank fees or currency exchange costs.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS & INSURANCE

Please notify us of any medical condition, pregnancy, disability, or mental health condition that may affect your ability to safely participate - including any medications you are taking. Some retreats may not be suitable for individuals with certain health conditions. We will do our best to accommodate special requests (such as dietary needs), but cannot guarantee all needs can be met.

Insurance Requirement: All guests must carry valid travel and health insurance covering:

• Trip cancellation

• Emergency medical care

• Evacuation and repatriation

• Personal liability

Failure to obtain insurance is at your own risk. Experience LIFE Retreats is not responsible for any medical or travel-related expenses.

 

FINAL PAYMENTS

The final balance is due 60 days before your retreat begins (unless otherwise stated). If you book within 60 days of the retreat, full payment is required at the time of booking.

If the final balance is not paid on time and no valid reason is given, Experience LIFE Retreats reserves the right to cancel your reservation and retain all payments. To ensure our emails reach you, please add our address to your contacts.

CANCELLATION OF A RETREAT BY EXPERIENCE LIFE RETREATS

We reserve the right to cancel any retreat but will not do so less than 30

days before the start date unless due to unusual or unforeseen circumstances. If Experience LIFE Retreats cancels a retreat, you can either transfer your deposit to another retreat within one year or receive a full refund. We are not responsible for incidental expenses or consequential losses due to the booking, such as visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights, or other fees.

MINIMUM PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENT & CANCELLATION DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT

Our retreats are designed to create a shared group experience. Therefore, each retreat is subject to a minimum participant requirement of five (5) guests. Experience LIFE Retreats reserves the right to cancel a retreat up to 30 days prior to the start date if the minimum number of participants is not met. In such cases, participants will receive a full refund of any payments

made to Experience LIFE Retreats, or may transfer the full amount as a credit toward a future retreat within one calendar year.

Experience LIFE Retreats will not be held liable for any additional costs or losses incurred by the participant, such as non-refundable airfare, accommodation, visa fees, or other travel-related expenses. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for trip cancellation due to insufficient enrollment, to protect yourself against unforeseen changes.

AIRFARE 

Our retreats do not include airfare. We recommend waiting until the trip is confirmed before booking flights or making non-refundable travel arrangements.

OUR RIGHTS

Our retreat leaders, local guides, or other representatives have the final say on all matters affecting safety and well-being. We reserve the right to prohibit any traveler from continuing a trip without refund if their actions threaten safety or enjoyment. Any damage caused by a guest

may be billed to them. Program, teacher, or team member changes may occur at any time. Evacuation costs are the responsibility of the evacuated person.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

Traveling to our retreats may involve risks and challenges. By booking, you acknowledge and assume these risks. It is your responsibility to understand the customs, weather conditions, physical challenges and laws of your destination. Contact your local embassy or consulate for

information.

SAFETY & TRIP ENJOYMENT

Your safety is our priority and we partner with trained professionals for our retreats. However, you are ultimately responsible for your safety. Obey all rules and instructions from our leaders and guides. Failure to comply may result in being removed from the trip without refund.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Travel and retreat participation involve inherent risks. By booking and paying the deposit, you agree to:

• Assume full responsibility for your participation

• Release Experience LIFE Retreats, operated by Lisa Makitan, from all liability for injury, loss, or damages.

• Sign a liability waiver prior to attending the retreat

• You are responsible for understanding your destination’s customs, climate and risks.

 

PHOTOS, VIDEOS & CONTENT

Photos and videos taken during the retreat may be used by Experience LIFE Retreats for promotional purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing. Professional cameras are not permitted, unless authorized in advance by us for official retreat documentation. Our retreats are personal experiences, not intended for brand promotion or product marketing. Please respect the space and privacy of other guests.

SEVERABILITY

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining sections shall remain valid and in effect.

SUCCESSORS & ASSIGNS

These terms are binding upon and benefit both the client and Experience LIFE Retreats including their successors, heirs and representatives.

​

WAIVER OF BOOKING CONDITIONS

These terms may only be waived or amended by written mutual consent. Booking and payment signify acceptance of these conditions and Experience LIFE Retreats agrees to fulfill its obligations.

UPDATING OF TERMS & CONDITIONS

Experience LIFE Retreats reserves the right to update these terms at any time. It is the client's responsibility to be familiar with the latest terms, which we will always provide via email.
